Leteshia A. Lowe is the Pre-Collegiate Initiative (PCI) Chair for NSBE Houston Professionals, which is responsible for the coordination of activities for students in grades K-12, helping to encourage minority youth to attend college and increasing awareness of the opportunities in the Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) related fields.

Leteshia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with concentrations in Computers from Tennessee State University and a Master of Education degree in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona.

Leteshia has been in the technology industry for over 15 years and is currently a senior test and quality assurance engineer at IBM, where she is responsible for testing of the FlashSystem product line, an enterprise storage system that stores data on flash memory.  As a technical test specialist, Leteshia provides debug and failure investigation, strategic test management and innovative Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) testing solutions.

Leteshia’ goal this year as Pre-Collegiate Initiative Chair is to increase our involvement in the local NSBE Jr. sections as well as provide a space for students to learn more about the various engineering disciplines.

Leteshia has been a member of NSBE Houston Professionals for over two years now and what makes NSBE great to her is the opportunity to be a role model and mentor to the next generation of engineers, representing the black community and helping to be an example of what is possible.

In her spare time, Leteshia enjoys riding her bike and volunteering in the community.
