Courtney is the Secretary for NSBE Houston Professionals and manages the Communications Zone, which is responsible for developing, directing, coordinating, and monitoring all communications and public relations.

Courtney is a licensed Professional Engineer who holds a BS in Civil Engineering degree from The University of Mississippi.
​
Courtney works in transportation at Freese and Nichol, having spent 8 years as a Roadway Design Engineer. She manages projects as the task lead under the Client Manager. Determines deliverables, leads design, sets up meetings with clients and sub-consultants, creating construction schedules, and quality assurance reviews.
​
Courtney’s goal this year as Secretary is to keep communication channels clear and get information to our members efficiently.
​
Courtney has been a member of NSBE for 6 years and what makes NSBE great to her is the family and supportive environment that is not always obtainable in the workplace.
​
In her spare time, Courtney enjoys walks with her dog, reading black romance novels, and traveling with her sister and friends.
